[SOLVED]openbox black screen

Been on vacation so getting upgraded. I logged in to my openbox system and just got a black screen with pointer.
I then installed fluxbox to try logging in with, and am using it now.
I used the openbox iso and used that until now. Don't know what happened, or why now getting black screen.
I did an upgrade hoping it would help iwht logging into X, but it didn't. Still the black screen.

Any ideas how to fix?

Use openbox to log in on X
Then after black screen press ctrl+alt + F1 to go to command line and look for messages.
there will be the problem. What is missing or need to be installed.
press ctrl+alt+F4 to go again on X

I saw a full screen of errors. No idea what happened.
I installed enough files to get xfce running, and so far it is running fine as was fluxbox.
I will try slapt-get --install --reinstall openbox if there is a meta file, or use slapt-get --delete openbox and slapt-get --install openbox.
At least I have xfce so for me, all is well since I prefer it anyway

Something got messed up in my openbox directory so I created another user, logged in using openbox, and after using it a while, copied the openbox directory to my normal user. Logged in as normal user and all is well using openbox.
