NetworkManager problem after update for some users

There were users reported the after upgade slackel openbox and slackel mate, NetworkManager do not work and cannot connect to wifi.
I have never had such a problem.
I suggest for those users to do this.

sudo slapt-get -u
sudo slapt-get --upgrade

sudo slapt-get -i wireless-regdb

Then they have to upgrade glibc, glibc-i18n

sudo slapt-get -i glibc glibc-i18n

Then they have to run networkmanager

sudo service restart networkmanager 

Then maybe they will see a message about some package missing because new packages added and other removed on slackware current.
Installing the missing packages they will connect.
Always have a look on https://slackware.uk/slackel/x86_64/sla ... ngeLog.txt to see about packages Added or Removed. So can install the new packages and remove the packages that have been removed.

To upgrade kernel-firmware

sudo slapt-get -i kernel-firmware

To upgrade kernel packages
For installation to internal ssd disk run

Code: Select all

sudo install-upgrade-kernel-gtk

For installation to external ssd disk or USB stick run

Code: Select all

sudo install-upgrade-kernel-ext-usb-gtk

Then reboot the system.
